A few months back, Xiaomi introduced the 200W wired charging solution and 120W wireless charging solution. Termed HyperCharge fast charging solutions, these technologies were expected to be implemented in the future flagship smartphones from the company. Now, it has been reported that the Xiaomi HyperCharge technology will enter mass production by June 2022. Besides this, it is also tipped that this new fast charging technology will debut in a smartphone that is pegged to be launched next year.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 5 To Get 200W Fast Charging
A report by MyDrivers notes that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 5 that is pegged for launch in 2022 will be the first smartphone to get the support for 200W fast wired charging capability. However, it is tipped not to get the 120W fast wireless charging as it will arrive with 50W wireless charging support. Usually, Xiaomi has two flagship lineups wherein the primary series is the Mi devices that focus on display capabilities, camera configuration and top performance. On the other hand, the Mi MIX series features experimental technology with innovative solutions on the display, charging and material used for the design. The newly announced Mi MIX 4 features 120 wired fast charging technology, which went official alongside the Mi 10 Ultra last year. Notably, this is still one of the fastest charging solutions available right now. The existing flagship model - the Mi 11 Ultra is limited to 67W fast charging technology. Apparently, it is speculated that the 200W fast charging technology will debut with the Mi MIX 5 smartphone.
Xiaomi HyperCharge 200W Technology
The Xiaomi HyperCharge 200W wired charging solution is touted to charge a 4000mAh battery to up to 50 per cent of its capacity in as quick as three minutes. It is claimed that it will take a meager eight minutes to charge the battery to 100 per cent of its capacity. On the other hand, the 120W wireless fast charging technology is claimed to charge a 4000mAh battery to 10 per cent of its capacity in just a minute. The same battery will be charged to 50 percent and 100 percent of its capacity in as quickly as seven minutes and 15 minutes respectively.
